Donnie Soddu, founder of High Light Rituals, believes jewelry can be a medium for healing, optimism, and stress relief. Growing up surrounded by various ceremonies and spiritual practices, Soddu developed a deep connection with the spiritual world. However, as life progressed, her spiritual connection began to wane under the pressures of career and responsibility.
In 2023, following the birth of her second child and a profound spiritual awakening, Soddu turned her fascination with crystals into a high-end jewelry brand. The launch of the Sacred Layers collection reflects her belief in the power of jewelry as a tool for personal healing and transformation.
"I believe spirituality is an intrinsic part of human existence," says Soddu, a certified shamanic crystal healer. "I wanted to create something tangible, something people could use to meditate and focus on. Jewelry seemed the perfect medium, allowing me to create pieces infused with high-vibration energy."
Her journey to founding High Light Rituals was shaped by her family and education. Raised by a single mother and a supportive extended family, she was introduced to spirituality at a young age. Later, she attended Foxcroft School in Virginia, where she learned resilience and independence. At the University of Pennsylvania, she studied psychology and later earned a Master's in Medicine from Cambridge University as a Gates Scholar.
Soddu's career path included roles in clinical trials management, digital marketing, and customer experience at companies like BaubleBar and Tula Skincare. High Light Rituals began as a personal project, evolving into a brand where each piece is chosen for its unique vibrational qualities and infused with healing energy.
"Jewelry is not just an aesthetic for me; it's a spiritual tool and a means of personal empowerment," says Soddu.
