The London Diamond Bourse (LDB) has taken a major step toward fostering diversity and inclusion with the launch of its new Women’s Network, an initiative aimed at promoting collaboration and leadership among women in the diamond industry.
The network was officially introduced during a Coffee and Diamonds event last month, marking a milestone moment for LDB. Adding to the significance, the organization also announced its first-ever female vice president—an achievement that highlights its commitment to greater representation within the trade.
“Diverse perspectives enhance consumer understanding, which is crucial for growth in the diamond industry,” said Lisa Levinson, head of the UK division at the Natural Diamond Council (NDC). “The British fine jewelry sector is filled with top-tier talent, and through the Women’s Network, we will support one another in elevating the diamond experience for consumers.”
The initiative will host a series of events, including informal talks and industry discussions, where female leaders will share insights on navigating what has traditionally been a male-dominated field.
“I’ve seen firsthand how women can thrive when given the right opportunities and support,” noted Charlotte Rose, newly appointed vice president of LDB. “This network will create a space where women can share experiences, break down barriers, and gain the support needed to grow in the industry.”
The next Women’s Network event is scheduled for February 12, continuing the momentum in advancing opportunities for women in the diamond trade.
As the industry evolves, will more organizations follow suit in fostering diversity and empowerment?
