Terms and Conditions
All rights, including copyrights and database rights, in the AIDI International Intelligent Diamond Association website and its content are owned by or licensed to AIDI, or are otherwise used by AIDI in accordance with applicable law. By accessing www.aidi.org, you agree to use the content for personal use only and not for any commercial or public purposes. You may download and use the service on one computer at a time and print one copy of any part of the content from the website for personal use. Except for these permissions, you agree not to copy, store in any medium (including any other website), distribute, transmit, retransmit, broadcast, modify, or publicly display any part of the AIDI website without prior written permission from AIDI or in violation of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act of 1988.
Access to and use of this website are provided by AIDI subject to the following terms and conditions:
By using this website, you accept these terms and conditions, which take effect immediately upon your first use of the website. AIDI reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time by posting updates online. You are responsible for regularly reviewing the information posted online to stay informed of any changes. Continued use of the website following the posting of changes signifies your acceptance of the modified agreement.
Except for personal non-commercial use, you may not copy, reproduce, republish, download, post, broadcast, or transmit materials in any way. Any other use requires prior written permission from AIDI. You agree not to adapt, alter, or create derivative works from any material on this website, nor to use it for any other purpose than personal, non-commercial use. You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and not to infringe on the rights of, restrict, or inhibit any third party’s use and enjoyment of the website. Such restrictions or inhibitions include unlawful conduct or actions that may harass or cause distress or inconvenience to any person or involve transmitting obscene or offensive content or disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within the website.
This website and the information, names, images, pictures, logos, and icons related to AIDI and its products and services (or third-party products and services) are provided "as is" without any representation or endorsement, and without any implied warranties, including but not limited to the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security, and accuracy. In no event will AIDI be liable for any damages, including but not limited to indirect or consequential damages, or any damages arising from the use or inability to use the website, loss of data, or profits, whether in contract, negligence, or other tort, arising from or in connection with the use of the website. AIDI does not warrant that the functions contained in the material will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the website or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs, nor does AIDI guarantee the full functionality, accuracy, or reliability of the materials.
Names, images, and logos identifying AIDI or third parties and their products and services are proprietary trademarks of AIDI and/or third parties. Nothing contained herein shall be construed as granting, by implication or otherwise, any license or right under any trademark or patent of AIDI or any other third party.
When you are invited to submit any contributions (including but not limited to text, graphics, video, or audio) to the website, you agree, by submitting your contribution, to grant AIDI a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights in relation to such works worldwide and/or to incorporate them into other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in such content, subject to the restrictions set out in AIDI’s privacy policy. If you do not wish to grant AIDI such rights, it is advised that you do not submit your contribution to the website. By submitting your contribution, you also:
- Warrant that your contribution is your original work and that you have the right to make it available to AIDI for all the purposes specified above;
- Indemnify AIDI against all legal fees, damages, and other expenses that may be incurred by AIDI as a result of your breach of the above warranty;
- Agree to waive any moral rights in your contribution for its submission to and publication on the AIDI website and for the purposes specified above.
If there is any conflict between these terms and conditions and specific terms appearing elsewhere on the website in relation to particular materials, the latter shall prevail.
The audit and review processes do not guarantee the maintenance and integrity of the website, including controls for achieving this, particularly regarding whether financial information has changed since its first publication. These matters are the responsibility of the directors, but no control procedures can provide absolute assurance in this respect. Legislation in the UK and the Netherlands regarding the preparation and dissemination of financial information differs from that in other jurisdictions.
If any part of these terms and conditions is found to be illegal, invalid, or unenforceable under the law of any state or country in which these terms and conditions are intended to be effective, that provision shall be severed and deleted to the extent of its invalidity or unenforceability, and the remaining terms and conditions shall continue to be valid, binding, and enforceable.
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with Canadian law. Disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Canadian courts.
If you do not fully accept these terms and conditions, you must not access the content of the website and should cease using it immediately.
