Patrice Leguéreau, the creative force behind Chanel’s Fine Jewelry Studio for 15 years, has tragically passed away at the age of 54. A graduate of Paris's prestigious École Boulle, Leguéreau brought his artistic passion to brands like Van Cleef & Arpels and Cartier before joining Chanel in 2009.
Under his leadership, Chanel’s jewelry studio thrived, with Leguéreau nurturing new talent and bringing a community spirit to his work. Known for his sensitivity, humility, and accessibility, Leguéreau was more than just a designer—he was a visionary.
In his own words, “I arrived on Place Vendôme 27 years ago, and I never left.” His love for jewelry and the stories behind his creations were evident in every preparatory sketch, a practice he cherished. Chanel has described his contribution as "immense," and the world of high jewelry will undoubtedly feel his loss.
Patrice Leguéreau leaves behind three children and a legacy that will be forever etched in the glittering world of fine jewelry.
