Shree Ramkrishna (SRK) Exports has released its inaugural Pure Impact Report, highlighting its extensive contributions to environmental and social sustainability over the past 60 years. SRK aims to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2024, well ahead of global targets, and aligns its initiatives with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
The company’s major achievements include investments in solar energy projects, tree planting, and electric vehicles to drive carbon neutrality, with its SRK Empire and SRK House already achieving LEED Platinum certification. SRK also emphasizes community upliftment, education, and ethical sourcing. Among its community contributions are $35,000 in solar project donations, support for 60,000 students, and funding the construction of 100 dams in the Saurashtra region.
SRK aims to set new sustainability standards in the diamond industry through partnerships with the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) and by pioneering traceable, ethical diamond sourcing. These initiatives represent the company's commitment to reducing its environmental impact and promoting social welfare, showcasing how the natural diamond industry can contribute positively to global sustainability goals.
