Los Angeles-based luxury jewelry brand Spinelli Kilcollin has made a major leap in its retail expansion with the opening of its flagship boutique in New York City. The new store, located at 91 Crosby Street in SoHo, opened on February 5, marking a pivotal moment in the evolution of the brand.
Founded in 2010 by Yves Spinelli and Dwyer Kilcollin, Spinelli Kilcollin started in their East Los Angeles garage, where they created their signature Galaxy rings. The NYC flagship is a more traditional retail space, while the Los Angeles store, set to open on February 18, is designed as an art museum that doubles as a jewelry boutique. The L.A. location will feature community spaces and rotating artwork by local artists, reflecting Kilcollin's sculptural background.
The 1,500-square-foot New York store has a 750-square-foot sales floor and includes a mezzanine level, where modern furnishings and art displays create an inviting space for VIP styling sessions and private events. Spinelli Kilcollin's collaborations with artists and jewelers will be highlighted in these gallery-style events.
Spinelli and Kilcollin describe the opening process as slow and deliberate, but client demand pushed their timeline forward. “We initially planned to grow through virtual stores and private appointments, but NYC became a standout market,” Spinelli explained. Kilcollin added that a private showroom in SoHo had such overwhelming success that it was clear they needed a dedicated storefront.
The store's design combines Kilcollin’s sculptural expertise with a futuristic vision, featuring unconventional materials like aluminum and recycled plastics. The display cases are supported by arc-like bases, and the floor tiles, made of aluminum, are set at varying angles to create a fluid, organic flow. The store also showcases large sculptural reliefs by Kilcollin, which incorporate giant versions of the brand's signature Galaxy rings.
Kilcollin explains, "We wanted a space that represents the spirit of our brand. It’s not just a retail store—it’s an experience that reflects the collaboration and connection we’ve built with our customers since the beginning."
With this bold new flagship, Spinelli Kilcollin is blending jewelry and sculpture, creating a space that is as much about art as it is about luxury jewelry.
